Rev. TouRÉ C. Marshall
Reverend Touré Cabral Marshall is the second of four sons born to the Rev. Gordon L. Marshall and Mrs. Sharon R. Marshall. Two ministry experiences formed his call to ministry. The first experience was participating in a successful voter engagement campaign with his church on the southside of Chicago in the Altgeld Gardens Housing Projects at the age of eight. The second was during his youth, serving as the coordinator of an ecumenical coalition of congregations on the east-side of Baltimore, MD.
Both experiences allowed him to witness the Spirit of the LORD work through local congregations to address his community's social and spiritual needs and bring hope.
Rev. Marshall has served churches in North and South Carolina. He earned his bachelor's degree with honors and the distinction of "Most Outstanding Honor's College Male" of his graduating class from Johnson C. Smith University (Charlotte, NC). Rev. Marshall earned his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology were from Princeton Theological Seminary.
He is married to the Rev. Eustacia Marshall (pastor of the New River Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, PA). Together, they have two children, nine-year-old Jeremiah Touré and six-year-old Jessica Monét.
The scripture Jeremiah 29:7 inspires his ministry, "7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare."
